DAY 12: Keylong- Jispa- Sarchu– After breakfast drive to Sarchu over Baralacha-la Pass (4892 Mts.). The distance of about 105 kms will be covered in about 5-6 hrs. The landscape enroute is magnificent. Dinner overnight in tents at Sarchu.
DAY 13: Sarchu- Leh– In the morning drive from Sarchu to Leh a distance of about 220 kms over Tanglang-la (5350 Mts.) the second highest road in the world and Lachlang-la (5065 Mts.). Dinner overnight in hotel at Leh.
DAY 14: INDUS VALLEY MONASTERY SIGHT SEEING–Post Breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour including Shey, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Stok Palace & Sindhu Ghat. Overnight at Hotel
DAY 15: EXCURSION TO KHARDUNGLA TOP – 18,390 FT.–After breakfast we drive to Khardung-La, the highest Motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft. is around 39 Kms away from Leh. The views from the top of the pass are amazing. Return to the hotel for hot lunch. Later in the afternoon atleisure for last day shopping and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 16: – Leh – Lamayuru-Kargil (285 kms): Few kms down the road from Lamayuru are the Hangro Loops, the 18 loops are fast yet sharp loops with steep gorges, drive/ride carefully here.
Next major attraction comes in the form of Gurudwara Patthar Sahib located in the town of Nimmu (55kms from Leh).
Lamayuru -Kargil – 40 odd kms down the road is the town of Mulbek, a sleepy town which many would pass through without knowing the fact that next to the road is a statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. It is believed that the 9 meter high statue carved out of solid rock was built in 7th or 8th century. Although one is not allowed to take photographs of the statue, the statue itself is a must see for any one passing through Mulbek.
A short ride from Mulbek will take you to 12198ft high Namika La, a windy yet scenic pass. Roughly 40kms Namika La is Fotu La, the highest point on the Srinagar – Leh highway, (13,479ft).
After short yet scenic ride/drive you will reach the village of Lamayuru, Ladakhs most famous and one of the oldest Gompas. Take some timeout here for a quick photo shoot and a visit to Gompa, else plan a dedicated day for it and move on.
Day 17: -Kargil- Drass- Sonamarg-Srinagar (205 kms): : A Drass is the Drass war memorial, built in the memory of fallen soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war and a must visit for every traveler passing through this route.

After breakfast, we will take a half day tour of Old & New Delhi visiting the Red Fort which forms the majestic centrepiece of Emperor Shah Jahan’s medieval walled city. It was here that Pundit Nehru, the first PM of India, unfurled the Indian flag commemorating the end of British colonial rule. We will tour Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque, a beautiful peace memorial at Birla House where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated and the bustling market maze, Chandni Chowk by rickshaw. In New Delhi we will also visit India Gate (a 42 metre high memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in World War One), Parliament House, President Palace, Hamayun’s Tomb and the amazing 73 metre high tower Qutub Minar which dates to the 13th century. A famous Iron Pillar of the 5th century stands before it – it has remained rust free for 1500 years. In the afternoon we have an optional visit to a Girls’ orphanage. In the evening we will return to the Red Fort to see the fantastic Light & Sound show.

This morning we will witness the shimmering sunrise on the magnificent Taj Mahal, the seventh Wonder of the World. Renowned for its aesthetic beauty, this extravagant building of timeless beauty is the outcome of a combination of passion and architectural exuberance. It has been described as ‘a poem written in marble’, the Taj Mahal is a magnificent marble monument of love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1653 as a memorial to his queen Mumtaj Mahal who died giving birth to their 14th child. White marble and red sandstone, silver and gold, carnelian and jasper, moonstone and jade, lapis lazuli and coral were fashioned by 20,000 skilled workers to make the emperor’s dream a reality. It took 22 years to complete – a poignant symbol of eternal love where Shah Jahan also lies buried, reunited at last with his beloved Mumtaj. We will also visit Agra Fort with its forbidding red sandstone battlements protecting palaces that tell the story of the Moghul Empire. Later we will venture to the local market for exploring and shopping.

Starts from the visit of Durga temple called as the Sankat Mochan temple and the Bharat Mata temple. The Benaras Hindu University, one the most presumed educational institutions in India. Later enjoy the pleasure trip to Sarnath few kilometres from Varanasi. This destination holds great religious importance of Buddhists. Here Lord Buddha lectures hisfirst sermon to his disciples, after he attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya.
A tombstone is built in the deer park where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Emperor Ashoka, a dedicated Buddhist and Preacher of Dhamma had built a number of stupas and Chaityas here which exists even today. Most prominent amongst these are the Damekh stupa built in the year 249 BCE and the Chaukhandi stupa built in 5th century AD. The Sarnath museum is home of many Buddhist ruins and artifacts. Full day city & Amber Fort with elephant ride. The tour begins with a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace,- the former Royal residence,- part of it converted into a museum. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum, housing an impressive array of weaponry -pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. Also see the miniature items and old carpets at the Textile Museum. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone-and-marble-crafted Observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the Observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Standing tall over a small hillock overlooking the Pink city, Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort-Palace. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. A major attraction at Amber is the Elephant Ride, all the way up to the Fort entrance.

Day 10 : Jaipur – Mumbai (By flight)
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Mumbai. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer for half day city tour of mumbai visit to Gateway of India, Mumbai’s principle landmark. This arch of yellow basalt was erected on the waterfront in 1924 to commemorate King George V’s visit to this colony in 1911. Drive past the Afghan Church. Secretariat of Maharashtra Government and along the Marine Drive which is fondly known as the ‘Queen’s Necklace’. Visit Jain temple and Hanging Gardens which offer a splendid view of the city, Chowpatty, Kamala Nehru Park and also Mani Bhavan where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai. Drive past Haji Ali Mosque, a shrine in honour of a Muslim Saint on an island 500 m. out at sea and is linked by a causeway to the mainland. Stop at the ‘Dhobi Ghat’ where Mumbai’s ‘dirties’ are scrubbed, bashed, dyed and hung out to dry. Watch the local train passing close by on which the city commuters ‘hang out like laundry’ – a nice photography stop. Continue to the colourful Crawford market and to the Flora fountain in the large bustling square, in the heart of the city.. Overnight at hotel.
